We’re Dan and Day, and we’re so excited to share our story with you! I (Dan) grew up in Montclair and spent countless hours hanging out Uptown with friends. Back in 2014, I opened a burger spot called Stuffed Grass Fed Burgers in another part of Montclair. While Stuffed was an incredible experience, I always dreamed of being Uptown.

Fast forward to 2021, when I (Day), originally from Ecuador, joined the Stuffed team. It didn’t take long for Dan and I to realize we worked great together, and before we knew it, we were running the store side by side. From there, our connection only grew, and in June of 2022, we got married! Along the way, I fell in love with Uptown just as much as Dan had years ago, and it became our shared dream to make this area our new home. 

After years of dreaming and planning, we finally found the perfect spot Uptown. At first, we considered keeping the name "Stuffed," but something about it just didn’t feel right. We wanted this new chapter to feel personal—not just for us but for the community as well. That’s why we decided to rebrand under our names, creating something that reflects who we are and connects with this beautiful part of town.

We now not only live in Upper Montclair, but also plan to raise our family here. So, if you love supporting local, this is as local as it gets!
